My very first film viewed in a theater was Stand By Me. I can vividly remember the four friends traveling along the railroad encountering a myriad of adventures. Walt Disney DVD had elements of drama and comedy and I enjoyed the experience especially watching it with my class back in grade school, since our school sponsored it. Another major influence was viewing Star Wars in Betamax format. Who couldn’t be moved by the massive entrance, entrancing score and unique characters using blasters and light sabers? The passion for films stretched deeper as action figures from one of my early favorite films came out. From the small toys to light sabers, Gossip Girl DVD collected only the main characters unlike those who know every minute detail, scene, background character or planet witnessed in the Lucas galaxy.

After viewing The Godfather, a film created way before I was born, Gossip Girl DVD cemented in my mind what every movie should be. Damages DVD had likable characters, luxurious costumes, alluring cinematography, a memorable musical score, a well-written screenplay and universal themes such as family, loyalty and sacrifice to name a few. In my tender age I felt moved because of the pictures impact on me, a comprehensive website with movie enthusiasts all over the world. Stargate SG-1 DVD thoroughly relished the criticisms, be it constructive or not, on the flicks I haven’t viewed, along with learning to appreciate how others create their reviews. My addiction to movies not only range from purchasing DVD’s with sufficient special features, along with collectibles, but also the countless times visiting this remarkable site.

Were my expectations of the film unfair? Yeah, you could make an argument for that. When the Oscar-ologists look at the upcoming film release calendar they begin to decide which films will and will not be Oscar contenders, and this cast and director were probably too good to pass up. And while the critics have praised the film, Merlin DVD don’t see it lasting into Oscar season, unless some other “sure thing” nominees turn out to be less impressive. I’m eagerly awaiting Law and Order Special Victims Unit DVD and Steven Spielberg’s War Horse, two other films critics are circling as award magnets in the coming months. Time will tell if they hype measures up, or if we’re just left with more chum.
